Trust backs #OneSlough campsign

By Slough Town Supporters Trust, Dec 5 2019 03:51PM

Slough Town Supporters Trust is pleased to be backing the Slough Town FC #OneSlough campaign to reach out into our diverse community, which has been led by Club Community Engagement Manager Mark Bailey.

The Trust has been in discussions with the Club for the last few months about this, having originally suggested the idea to appeal to a wider range of people across the town including reaching out in different languages and to the LGBTQ+ community.

As part of this, the Trust is pleased to have co-signed the Kick It Out Equality Charter which pledges that both Club and Trust will work for equality , diversity and inclusion. A copy of this can be found using the link on our website home page. It has been signed by Mark Bailey and interim Trust chairman Dan Brench.

We hope that this initiative will help to encourage more people from across our amazing town to attend Slough Town matches in the future, knowing that they are in a safe, fun place with a community atmosphere. We ask that all supporters do their bit by distributing posters linked to the campaign and acting within the responsibilities of the charter by considering their use of language.

Together we can build a stronger, more community focused club that is a representative of the town of Slough as a whole.
