Trust agrees small donations

By Slough Town Supporters Trust, Apr 3 2019 12:47PM

At last night’s board meeting, the members of the Trust board agreed to make the following small donations:

- £100 to be donated from Trust funds towards the defibrillator fundraiser which sees STFC Juniors committee member Kelly running the Brighton Half Marathon. The fund has accumulated around £815 of its £1000 target to pay for a defibrillator to go into the facilities at Mercian Way, where the Juniors play their matches. The link to the fundraiser can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/donate/287537598813510/?fundraiser_source=external_url

- Around £250 from the money left from Dave Carpenter’s estate to pay expenses for the STFC Community team to attend a tournament in Bournemouth. Dave was a big supporter of the Community team so we know this money is being used as he would have liked.

- A further £100 (£50 each) approximately from Dave Carpenter’s money to cover the petrol and any other expenses incurred by the two teams from Priory and Lynch Hill Schools while attending the National League Trust U11s Cup regional round in Sutton. Money from Dave’s fund also helped to make our local round at Arbour Park happen and also covered the cost of the STFC kits that the teams wore at Sutton.

The board also agreed in principle an initial spending plan for 2019-20 which will be approved in detail in the coming months prior to the new season starting. News will be passed on once the elements of this plan have been fully reviewed, approved and implemented.
