The Trust is delighted to confirm that it will be bringing the National League Trust Under 11s Cup back to Slough for the second time. The competition sees year 6 teams from up and down the country compete to gain a place in the final which will be played at Wembley Stadium prior to the National League Playoff Final in May.
The local round will take place at Arbour Park on Thursday 7th November in a 6 a side format, with two competitions, one for girls teams and one for boys/mixed teams. The invitation is open to year 6 school teams from across Slough with a maximum squad size of 10 children. The exact timings will be confirmed once we know how many teams are registered.
So spread the word across the town, we hope we can get this information out to all of the schools and have lots of teams involved. The winning teams from our local competitions will go on to the regional round in early 2020 to compete for a place in the South final, with the winners of the North and South finals playing at Wembley.
We are attempting to distribute the information to every school in Slough, but if your school hasn't recieved it, full details can be obtained from Kay Lathey by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. We're very grateful to Kay for her support in organising the event. The Trust will be providing some funding to put the event on, and entry is free to all teams. Teams must be registered by Friday 18th October.
Last year was a great success with 10 boys/mixed teams and 6 girls teams in 3 groups featuring more than 130 goals. Lynch Hill boys/mixed and Priory girls teams advanced to represent Slough Town in the regional round at Sutton earlier this year.
