NL Trust U11s Cup regional round
By Slough Town Supporters Trust, Feb 15 2019 12:39PM
Our two school teams stepped up to represent Slough Town FC yesterday at the home of Sutton United, as the regional round of the National League Trust U11s Cup took place.
Wearing brand new STFC kit, complete with the Trust logo (paid for from money donated by the late Dave Carpenter), Lynch Hill boys and Priory School girls faced other schools representing National League clubs.
Priory went into a group with teams from Hampton & Richmond, Bromley and Woking, while Lynch Hill were in a group with Welling, Hampton & Richmond, Bromley and Dover.
It proved to be a difficult afternoon for our teams as they bowed out of the competition. Lynch Hill picked up one win and three defeats while Priory picked themselves up following two defeats to claim a draw in their final match.
We'd like to thank both teams, including their teachers, for their efforts in participating in the U11s Cup, both at Arbour Park and Sutton, and for representing STFC at the regional round. We hope they enjoyed the experience and will be able to use it to improve themselves as footballers. We also wish the best of luck to the girls team representing Dartford and the boys team representing Dulwich Hamlet in the South finals.
We hope to bring the National League Trust U11s Cup back again next season, so keep an eye out in the Autumn and get your school signed up. Our thanks again to all those who played in and organised the local round in November.
