Arbour Park hosts NLT U11s Cup Regional Round

By Slough Town Supporters Trust, Feb 21 2020 08:54PM

On Thursday 13th February Slough Town were selected to host the regional round of the National League Trust U11s Cup. After hosting our local tournament back in November, Priory School girls and Langley Hall boys/mixed team had progressed to the regional round to represent Slough Town FC.

Club and Trust volunteers hosted the event, which was attended by President of the National League Brian Lee, which had schools representing Slough Town, Hampton & Richmond (Hampton Hill girls and Hampton Junior boys, Havant & Waterlooville (Front Lawn boys and girls), Maidenhead (Courthouse girls and St Edmund Campion boys) and Aldershot (Waverley Abbey girls and Church Crockham boys) in boys/mixed and girls tournaments. Both tournaments ended up with 27 goalsfrom 10 games.

It was Waverley Abbey girls, representing Aldershot, and St Edmund Campion boys, from Maidenhead, who progressed to the South finals day next month after 10 games in each group. Congratulations to them and we wish them all the best in the next round. St Edmund Campion (W3 D1) progressed after a 1-0 playoff match win after being tied on points with Church Crockham (Aldershot) after the group games, meanwhile Waverley Abbey went through after topping their group with 3 wins and a draw as well.

Meanwhile, Priory girls (W2 D1 L1) and Langley Hall boys (W2 L2) both finished third in their groups after some very respectable performances. We'd like to thank them for representing Slough Town and we're really proud of their efforts.

We hope that everyone who attended enjoyed their day at Arbour Park and we'd like to thank all the children, teachers and supporters for taking the time to attend and for their efforts on the pitch.
