STFC Promotion events
During the run up to the homecoming, the Trust has organised events to promote the Club in the local Community.
Some of these events took place at the Observatory Shopping Centre promotion area.
During these events, our fans give out free tickets, balloons, STFC merchandise and sweets to people who came to the stall. There is also a goals compilation and a presentation about our community work.
Other promotion events have taken place at places like the NCS Graduation at the West Wing, local primary schools and Langley Carnival.
Annual Sponsored Walk & Charity Work
Our traditional walk to the last away game of the season raises money for the Trust and for a local charity. In recent years the distances have varied from a short walk to Beaconsfield (7miles) to Sutton Coldfield and, in 2015, Dorchester at around 110miles.
Other recent previous destinations have included Hampton (15miles), Fleet (26miles), Didcot (32miles), Woodford (60miles), North Greenford (13miles), and Aylesbury (30miles).
Charities include CrossRoads Care, SADSAD, Wexham Park NeoNatal unit, Shine, Alexander Devine, the Wexham Park and Heatherwood League of Friends and the Stroke Association and over £20,000 has been raised.
The Trust has also organised some charity collections at home matches alongside the Club.
Christmas Draw and other prize draws
Every year we run raffles and prize draws to raise money for the Club and the Trust. The 2014 Christmas Draw raised over £750 for the Trust through the selling of raffle tickets.
We rely on donations for prizes for these events, so if you are able to offer anything that can be used for raffles, please speak to one of our board members or contact us by email.
End of Season Awards Night and other Social Events
The Trust hosts social acitivites for fans of the Club, their families as well as the players and management. The End of Season Awards Night looks back at the successes of the season and has the presentation of awards to players and fans.
Often these nights include quiz nights, race nights or just social evenings and happen at a range of locations such as the Polish Club, Herschel Arms and Farnham Park.
In December 2016 we ran a coach trip to Winter Wonderland Hyde Park, with 35 taking part in the evening which included a diversion to see the Christmas lights around Oxford Street.
