The Slough Town Supporters Trust in its current form was set up in 2003 to help support Slough Town Football Club. It has donated over £30,000 since then to the Club and continues to be involved in the running of the Club and in the community. Funds have been donated to the Club through good times and bad.
For the list of board members and contact information, please see the Contacts/Links page.
The Trust is involved in almost all aspects of Club life.
Matchday operations are run by Trust board members and normal members including the parking, stewarding, Club Shop, 500 Club and Golden Goal and various other jobs around Arbour Park.
The away match coach travel is arranged by members of the Trust board.
Match photography also comes from Trust board member.
The Trust also has a base by the turnstiles at Arbour Park on matchdays.
Previously the Trust has sponsored the 1st team home and away shirts, Slough Town Reserves and Under18s teams.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us out on matchdays, so please speak to someone in the Trust room to see what needs doing!
Club Board Representation
The chairman of the Trust board sits on the new Club operational committee, and so has a say in the running of the Club while also being able to be involved with the Supporters Trust. This means that the opinions and thoughts of Supporters Trust members can be passed onto the Club board, and the respective boards, along with the supporters themselves, can work together for the benefit of the Club.
Social, Charity and Community Events
The annual end of season walk to the last away game of the season, raising money for the Trust and a local charity, is organised by Trust members. Other events are also organised throughout the season to raise money for the Club and Trust including race nights, quiz nights, raffles and the end of season presentation evening. We have also been involved in sponsoring local schools by providing kit and matchday mascot experiences.
Promoting the Club
The Trust is also heavily involved in promoting the Club in the local community, running several promotion events in the Observatory Shopping Centre in Slough town centre and at local events such as the National Citizen Service Graduation (November 2014), Polish Club Family Picnics and Primary School Summer fairs. At these events we have offered free tickets to home matches, prizes from the STFC merchandise range, season ticket competitions and balloons, as well as giving out information on the Club, the Youth Setup, the Academy and the Trust.
By joining the Trust, you are actively supporting both the Trust in the community and the Club, so join today!
Raise money for the Trust with Utility Warehouse Discount Club
We have been offered a unique fundraising opportunity by Barry Underwood, father of co-manager Jon, to raise money for the Trust using his company Utility Warehouse Discount Club.
You can switch your energy supplier, telephone, broadband and mobile and find out how much you could save. From this, the Trust will be given a proportion not only of the initial sign up fee, but also a percentage of your monthly bill each month and every month that you stay with UWDC. They are the 7th largest energy supplier in the UK and the only one that includes telephone, broadband and mobile in just one package.
You can contact Barry to get your quotation forms to get an estimate of your next years energy costs for you to compare with your current price. Two customers saved £322 and £400 in the first year respectively.
